Overview
Cost Entry in HCM TradeSeal is used to manually key in or adjust timecard data before payroll is processed. This functionality is crucial during the pre-payroll review phase to ensure accuracy in employee time, job costing, and expense allocation.
You can use Cost Entry to:
Enter new timecards for employees not included in automated uploads.
Modify or correct existing time entries imported via Source Upload.
Apply adjustments for special pay conditions, overtime, or corrections discovered during payroll validation.
Cost Entry can also be used:
After rate validation, when you identify missing or incorrect data.
Before final payroll export, to ensure all cost elements—time, job, and expense—are complete.
For exceptions, such as temporary positions, one-time expense reimbursements, or special pay rates.
