TradeSeal lets you make last-minute changes — but how you do it depends on what you're changing.
When to Edit in TradeSeal
If your adjustment impacts:
- Union rates or benefits
- Prevailing wage calculations
- Certified Payroll
- Fringe credit logic
- Reported hours
Then you should:
- Go to the Rate Validation screen
- Click the employee name to open Cost Entry
- Make your edits
- Re-export the file and re-import it into your payroll system
This ensures everything is recalculated properly and stays compliant.
When It’s OK to Adjust in Your Payroll System
If the adjustment is minor and does not impact compliance, you can make the change directly in your payroll system. That includes:
- Reclassifying a cost center or shift
- Adding an expense code
- Adjusting a note or internal tag
- Entering non-reported bonuses or reimbursements
These types of edits won’t affect Certified Payroll or union reporting, so there’s no need to reprocess in TradeSeal.
